With the advancement of time, cultures and traditions have also advanced and grown; they adapt to the new changes and trends and sometimes end up changing a lot more than a little. Even though they look more or less the same, and also carry almost the same meaning in all three origins, some aspects distinguish them from the others.
Arabic mehndi designs are thought to be the best, Hindi and Pakistani stand second in the line. Amongst these, the most simplest designs are considered to be the most traditional ones and carry the most importance due to their linkage with the olden traditional values. One such design is the simple circle in the middle of the palm and lines/dots on the fingers, with the fingertips covered in mehndi in a semi-cylindrical way. Other designs are not as simple but are rather easy and not as complicated and filled as the rest. The simpler the design, the more beautiful it looks. Rich mehndi with hardly any empty spaces is mostly preferred for brides; for the rest on the females the mehndi designs are simpler.
