Eid-ul-Fitr is an important celebration for Muslims all over the world; it is a show case of happiness and all things happy and joyous. In Pakistan it is tradition for females to apply mehndi on their hands before the night of Eid-ul-Fitr, so that they can wake up on Eid day with their hands richly colored with mehndi. Not only is the color of mehndi important, its aroma is also freshening and likable. Muslims believe that since it was the practice of their Holy Prophet (May peace be upon him) to apply mehndi, that they must follow it and keep it alive as a practice.
Hence the applying of mehndi gets immense importance amongst Muslims in Pakistan and all over the world. These free Eid-ul-Fitr 2008 mehndi designs have been collected especially to make the Eid of Muslim females special by giving them a collection of designs that are Indian, Arabic, as well as Pakistani. This simple art of applying mehndi isn’t only about looking good and having a tattoo on your hands; it has a much deeper meaning, the richness and darkness of its color is supposed to indicate the strength of the love of a married females relationship with her partner. For girls who are single, it indicates the strength of the love that the future holds for them. Some of these traditions linked to practices are often also myths, regardless of that, applying mehndi gets immense importance and is practiced often and with great delight.
